“An architect recommended Residential Remedies (RR) for expertise, quality work and high integrity. We interviewed several general contractors and found Joe Fiore, owner of RR, to be responsive and competitive in price. He was our first choice. We contracted with Residential Remedies in November 2012 for significant renovation in an older home that we had just purchased. Changes involved structural issues (requiring engineering assessment), electrical, plumbing and HVAC as well as carpentry, drywall and painting. We found Joe’s team to be hard-working and dependable. Joe was on-site daily to make sure the work was progressing in a quality manner. At times, he offered suggestions that significantly improved the overall project. The clean-up was great. Phase 1 of the project was completed on schedule and on-budget in February 2013. The project cost to date exceeded $25,000. Residential Remedies provided detailed invoicing with backup documentation on all labor and materials. Joe’s greatest strength is his integrity. Phase 2 began in April 2013. The project involved converting a one-car garage to living space with an objective to make the finished area match the original design and construction of the house. We celebrated with a steak dinner for Joe and his team. Since 2013, we have engaged Residential Remedies for smaller projects and called on him for emergencies like a roof leak. In each case, the work was excellent. In 2017, we asked Joe to assess three bathrooms and provide recommendations. This work will begin in August. We are extremely satisfied with Residential Remedies and highly recommend Joe and his team.— John White
